Follow the link for roughly 2/3’s of what I made for the wood kiln. Sadly, a lot of my stuff was put in the very back of the kiln and ended up being under fired by a cone or two. Now, I need to wait until I can get them into a gas reduction kiln. Oh well. My tea bowls and these cups came out very well.

This was from when we started to unload the kiln yesterday. A few of my items came out great. A few items where under fired, but I can always retire those to get the correct amount of heat work on the glaze.

Five new cups trimmed, decorated, and drying out. These were drying faster out in the garage than I thought they would, so I decided to go ahead and trim them. I have a minimum of twenty pounds of clay I need to throw this afternoon. I am about to make a four more cups, three tea bowls, three small bottles, and one vase. I made a list what I wanted to make and how much clay it takes so that I could maximize the fifty pounds of clay I recently purchased. I still need to make three vases, one water jar, and one double necked vase. I made one cup too thin the other day, so I am letting that clay dry out a little. I haven’t yet decided if I will make another cup or a small bottle with that clay.

I just finished throwing my first piece on my new pottery wheel. My great love affair has picked up where it ended. ;)
Incase you wanted to know more about my creative process, I will be working on the wheel for the next couple hours while listening to Black Eyes, A Frames, Shellac, The Mountain Goats, Aa, and Ty Segall on random play.
